Our Philosophy
The Chickadee Learning Collective is rooted in strengthening community and creating lifelong learners by partnering with community members and organizations to provide group educational and socialization opportunities for alternative educators in our region. Our teaching philosophy is largely mixed-age and child-led, allowing our students to guide their education as they see fit – the adults providing enrichment and information along the way.
Where We Are
Our main office is in Colebrook, New Hampshire, but our events take place all over the North Country and beyond! We do not place geographic boundaries on our students; if you’re willing to travel, we would love to have you!
Who We Are
Founded by Katie Hopps, a veteran homeschool mom and early childhood educator with a passion for child-led learning and authentic child. She hopes to help create the village that our society so often lacks for parents and families!
